Clip News is delighted to support the “Book Garden”, a bookstore in the center of Athens that operates with a charitable purpose.
In the Athens office of Clip News, many books are gathered due to the printed materials arriving daily for scanning, in order to collect data on behalf of the company’s subscribers. Maria Savvidou, Scanning Department Team Leader at Clip News, took the initiative to deliver these books to “Book Garden” once a month.
This bookstore offers a carefully curated collection of second-hand books at low prices, in Greek as well as various other languages. On its shelves, one can also find various other items such as pencil cases, wallets, and more. Both the second-hand books in the bookstore and the profit from their sales, are donated to organisations that help women who have been hurt or abused.
